Vehicle Description Spectacular fresh rotisserie restoration in original colors.
Numbers on engine and transmission match VIN.
Nicely documented, including original legible broadcast sheet.
A stunning Charger R/T that will stand out anywhere it goes.
Is the Dodge Charger the best-looking muscle car of all time? Hard to argue against it, especially after you see this absolutely gorgeous 1970 Dodge Charger R/T.
With a fresh restoration showing only test and tune miles since it was finished, it?s poised to collect trophies at very high levels and become the centerpiece of any serious Mopar collection.
We love the look of the 1970 models with the chrome halo around the nose and the faux vents on the doors?it stands out in a big way.
Add in the beautiful Dark Tan Metallic finish (which is the car?s original color) and it just glows in the sunlight?our photos just don?t do it justice.
Panel fit is excellent and it appears to be wearing all its original sheetmetal with no major repairs?trunk extensions, rocker seams, and even the quarter panels all appear to be original-issue.
The white stripes along the flanks make the car look about a mile long and emphasize the dramatic curves of the quarters, and with sparkling white vinyl top is the perfect contrast, making the car look crisp and clean.
New correct glass, restored chrome and stainless trim, and proper lenses all add to this car?s ultra-crisp presentation.
And yes, the headlights snap open and closed properly.
I don?t think we?ve ever seen a better one.
The interior is just as beautifully finished and the tan vinyl upholstery is like the exterior color:
pretty rare.
With new seat covers and door panels by Legendary, a taut new headliner, and proper carpets, it looks every bit as good as it would have in 1970 sitting on the showroom floor.
The seats are firm and comfortable thanks to fresh foam underneath, and they were so focused on the details that the car comes with a second carpet designed to protect the driver?s footwell when and if you decide to drive it.
All the gauges were fully rebuilt and work correctly, including the tick-tock-tach, and the lighting throughout the interior is now LED so it?s a bit brighter and crisper than stock.
The original Music Master AM radio works properly, too, and all the woodgrained appliques on the dash and center console were replaced so it looks bright and well-rendered.
Switches and knobs feel crisp, not worn, and even the shifter clicks precisely through the gate.
Someone was really sweating the details here.
It shows equally well in the trunk, which features a reproduction mat, correct jack assembly, and an original spare wheel.
Oh, and it should go without mentioning but all the weather seals are brand new, too.
The 440 cubic inch Magnum V8 was completely rebuilt to stock specs?that means 375 horsepower on tap thanks to a 4-barrel carburetor.
It starts easily, idles well, and generally does its business without a lot of fussing.
There?s plenty of oil pressure, and it really does have a fantastic sound.
Look on the pan rail and you?ll see the car?s VIN is crisply stamped and highly legible.
Detailing is exceptional, with correct Hemi Orange paint on the block itself, the right wrinkle finish on the air cleaner (which includes the ?pie tin? on the lid), and reproduction hoses, wires, and clamps.
It?s all extremely well done?even the battery is a correct reproduction unit.
The original fender tag is still in place and breaks it down fully:

End of sales codesIt's worth mentioning that the VIN is also stamped on the radiator cradle, although taking a photo is problematic with the radiator in place.
Reproduction decals were used throughout, as well as a few factory-style markings for that added bit of authenticity.
The chassis is equally well detailed with body-colored floors, a rebuilt TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission (which also has a stamping that matches the VIN), and correct 8.
75-inch rear end with 3.
23 gears inside so this Charger is an easy cruiser.
Power steering makes even this big brute easy to handle and all the lines and hoses under the car are brand new.
In fact, everything is new, so it sits right and feels buttoned-down on the road.
The reproduction exhaust system sounds great and ends in correct rectangular tips, and there?s a fresh gas tank hanging out back.
There?s literally no stone that was left unturned on this restoration.
Awesome Magnum 500 wheels are always the right choice, with these wearing reproduction FR60-15 Firestone Wide Oval bias-ply tires.
Documentation includes the original Chrysler Corporation broadcast sheet, along with restoration photos and receipts (in transit).
The Dodge Charger is on everyone?s wish list, and if you?ve been looking for an exceptional example that stands out, this is a fantastic choice.
The unusual color combination makes this one unique among all the orange and black Chargers, and in the sun it looks like a million bucks.
It also includes an awesome pedigree, which is always reassuring with high-end Mopars.
An excellent car in every measurable way, this one is ready to rock.
