If you check the door tag, you'll see that it shows code T, so it comes by the bright red finish honestly.
It has been repainted, perhaps with some touchup on the front clip because it's a tiny shade different (hard to see in our photos and impossible to see in the sunlight), but it remains in excellent condition.
It appears that this big 'Bird is wearing all its original sheetmetal and panel fit is quite good-even the massive deck lid snugs itself down after the convertible top does its thing.
All the bright trim is in very good condition, from the simple front bumper to the chrome spears running the length of the bodywork to the Thunderbird script on the front fenders, none of which is pitted or deteriorated.
Code 66 black leather is the car's original interior code and we believe the interior is original, not restored.
There's some minor wear on the leather, but nothing unexpected and it remains in surprisingly good condition throughout.
The Thunderbird's all-new instrument panel was clearly inspired by aircraft design, with small round pods for the auxiliary gauges and a wide band with a bar-type speedometer on top.
